…the local grocery store not the doctor.
Her office called this morning to tell me that she was sick. Rescheduled for Thursday, thank you for your concern Dear Reader, I appreciate it and so would my mom if she were here. She would say, “Some one should be.”
I suppose because obviously I’m not very much, evident in that it has taken so long for me to get with it, first to report the problem to the doc, and then to find out the problem, over a year and a half.
So I have no entertainment or thought provocation for you today Dear Reader as I am trying to figure out what Elisabeth has written in this letter dated October twenty-third eighteen seventy. I am assuming it is the second letter to her sister in Flemish Belgium after thinking she was leaving for America when her prospects were not good there. Some things are very clear and easily translated but others are very difficult indeed.
I think it is so coincidental that I found these letters right when Sparky ♥ ∞ wrote about her participation in this blog adventure on the Orient Express. Imagine my excitement when my eyes lit on the name Georges Nagelmackers after having read on one of the blogs participating in MuseSwings Orient Express Adventure, that he was the founder of the train and developed those luxurious cars.
By the way as long as I use his name I will not achieve a “mistakeless” post as far as spell check is concerned.
Oh another thing, the girls are shelling out cinnamon rolls now like they were promotional tickets to a show. A batch last night and another late this afternoon. And tonight they are making green cupcakes and Irish Soda Bread for tomorrow.
Dear Reader, may God keep us from unnecessary temptation and may we heed his prompting. Its a rough world out there or in here.
