Okay, I have a new plan to solve the problem of being a month behind on a few things, six months on others and over two years on all the rest.
I’m going to pretend I just moved to the farm, I’m from a big city far away, Dirt unpacked our stuff and put everything away or just threw it in a room he thought best. The people who lived here, just disappeared and so it was sold to us with all their stuff still here just as they left it.
You wouldn’t believe this place it is gorgeous, I’ve already made lots of plans, but wow, is there a lot of work to do. Not to mention Bet and Dirt really lived through quite a nasty bit of weather while I was wrapping things up back in the city. There are trees down all over the place, and lots of fence repairs, a new porch to build, just lots and lots of things to do.
I’ll try and keep you updated with all the stuff we are doing. Next post I’ll show you pictures that Bet, Dirt and some lady took during the storm.
(I think the pretend story might work, I feel way better already.)
LOL! I think I’ll use the “pretend” idea next time I get really behind … like now! Good post Lanny!
Hi Lanny, Hope all had a nice Christmas and New Year.
Dont worry bout house – it will get done sometime, lol.
do a bit – rest a bit.
I’m liking it – good idea – I’ve “just moved” myself and finding it overwhelming
oh my gosh i LOVE that idea… now i have to figure out how to put it to use in my house! thanks…
smiles, bee

Sounds like a great idea to me! Good luck to you with all that you need/want/have to do. I’m sorry to hear you have so much damage left behind from the ice. From what I’ve heard that was quite a storm.
The snow and ice did a number on the farm..so now you are really behind..I imagine that even ten of you wouldn’t get caught up. Chin up Lanny. take it one day at a time and do what you are able to..and take good care of you:)
The weather has been crazy down here too. Just about every imaginable winter weather has hit in the last few weeks.
We are still trying to get things back in order after wind, snow, ice and flooding. Fences need repaired, gutters replaced, and tree branches cleared out.
I’m so glad God knows what He’s doing when He commands the weather and seasons. I would screw it up big time if I tried to conduct it all!
Same here, the folks who lived here last (I understand the guy was here over 60 years) really left a mess. I think they were lazy.
I’m glad to see that finally someone moved on to your farm who is still alive and will blog, the other family had dropped off the face of the earth. Too bad, they seemed like reallly nice folks.
